It's been a couple of months since the announcement of the LEGO Battles game. That's the next LEGO-based game coming out, exclusively to the Nintendo DS platform. It's not built on any blockbuster film, but just on space, castles and pirates. And pure LEGO fun. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released new screenshots today for you to check out.

About LEGO Battles:
"Featuring six distinct storylines and 90 different levels, players can build their own LEGO bases and teams, mixing and matching units to create their own customized squad. Choosing from 55 playable characters, face off on land, sea or in the air, using 30 different vehicles. Putting their squad to the test, players can also team up against their friends in the multiplayer mode, through the wireless DS multi-card play."

Watch for LEGO Battles this summer for the Nintendo DS (and DSi) platform.
