A surprise listing appeared on GameStop.com for a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Retail Pack. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is a downloadable fighting game, available from the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade this summer. It'll be available for download at $14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points). The Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Retail Pack is currently only listed for the PlayStation 3 on GameStop.com, and at a $19.99. It will still be a download, as no disc is actually included. An August 13, 2009 release date is listed as well.

Here's what GameStop.com lists as part of the package:

- Redemption Code for full game
- DVD case with sleeve
- Data DVD with exclusive artwork (wallpapers, icons, character and content art), 4 trailers and screenshots
- 8 page color manual with artwork and moves list
- 1 month free subscription to Marvel Digital Comics ($9.99 value)
- 2000 Capcom-Unity points - can be used for prizing and auctions

Looks like a good compromise for fans and those who want something in their collection instead of just a digital download. No word if there will be a Retail Pack for the Xbox 360. A demo of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is currently available on the PlayStation Network.
