The PSPgo system was shown to CNET's Crave by Sony Computer Entertainment America's Al De Leon (PR Manager for PlayStation). The video from Crave (see below) shows a brief rundown of the features (sliding screen, controls, 16GB internal flash memory, Memory Stick Micro slot, Bluetooth) and Clock application on the PSPgo. With the development tools on the PSP reduced, Sony is looking to open the PSPgo to other applications, besides games.

"It will mostly be games, but there's certainly an opportunity to look at some non-gaming applications," said Al De Leon.

The applications are said to be under 100MB and will cost less than current PlayStation Store games, according to edge-online.com. It definitely sounds like something similar to what Nintendo has been offering with DSiWare and Apple has with the iPhone and iPod touch applications from the App Store.

The PSPgo system will be available in Black and White on October 1, 2009.

See more details on the PSPgo here at the official PlayStation website.
