Soon you'll get to sink into more of the Gears of War saga. Epic Games and Del Rey have announced the next Gears of War novel, Jacinto's Remnant. As Gearheads will know from the title, the setting takes place following Gears of War 2, which will likely bridge the gap into the next Gears of War game (Gears of War 3?). Here are the details on Jacinto's Remnant: “Karen Traviss has outdone herself once again,” said Rod Fergusson, executive producer, Epic Games. "JACINTO'S REMNANT not only answers the question of what happens after the events of Gears 2, it also provides greater insight into the Gears of War universe and a deeper understanding of its characters. We hope players of the games and discerning readers alike will enjoy this ongoing tale of humanity's fight for survival." See the high-resolution cover art from Jacinto's Remnant here. Jacinto's Remnant will be available on July 28, 2009. Aspho Fields was the premiere Gears of War novel from Karen Traviss, which bridged the gap between the first Gears of War game and Gears of War 2. Also being released on the same day of Jacinto's Remnant is new downloadable content for Gears of War 2, the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection. The All Fronts Collection includes the previously released DLC maps from Gears of War 2 and the new Dark Corners, which is made up of 7 new multiplayer maps and a new Road to Ruin campaign chapter. The Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection will be available for 1600 Microsoft Points ($20). Visit the official Gears of War website for more.
