Based on the novel series made by Hiroshi Mori, XSEED Games has announced that The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces will be released in North America this holiday season. It was previously released in Japan by Namco Bandai.

The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces is a flight simulation specifically designed for the Wii, which puts you in the place of a rookie pilot named "Lynx." You'll work your way up the ranks to become involved with a secret military project that may make pilots virtually indestructible. The wars and destruction have been going on for decades and finally the Earth has come to peace with itself. However, private wars between government still continue through sponsored events between private corporations to help balance the human instincts of war by creating a show.

”I’m extremely pleased to be able to confirm The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces for gamers in North America,” said Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games. “The innovative control scheme and gorgeous visuals just go to show what a top-notch development team can do when creating a new game from scratch specifically for Wii.”

The controls for this game are quite simple. You hold the Nunchuk controller in your right hand to roll, pitch or yaw. The Wii Remote in the other hand will control your acceleration, and deceleration, making the Wii Remote the throttle.

Expect this game to fly onto store shelves this holiday season, exclusively for Nintendo's Wii system. Watch XSEEDgames.com for more.
