Black Inc. has announced their first Xbox LIVE Arcade game, Ion Assault. This new game, which looks like it'll play like Geometry Wars, includes four major scenarios throughout the campaign. Created by a very small game developer, Coreplay from Munich, Germany, is proud to show off their in-house technology with this new game.

According to the press release, the game is going to be 800 Microsoft Points ($10) and will be released in the "summer of 2009." That could be anytime from now until August/September. We have reached out to them for further comment on the release date. Included in Ion Assault will be various multiplayer modes and online leaderboards.

The developer says that they could not have developed this game on any older consoles, but who knows. The lack of information about this game kind of concerns me. Without any track record, Coreplay could surprise us or disappoint us. Look for more information at their website www.ionassault.com. We'll bring you a review when the game is released.
