It looks like Ubisoft is moving west in Canada to Toronto. They had quite a press conference in Toronto, where they announced a few things. Even the premiere of Ontario attended the press conference and made a speech.
Here are some quick facts on Ubisoft and Canadian gamers:
- It has taken over two years to get Ubisoft into Ontario.
- Toronto is going be modeled after Ubisoft Montreal.
- Seventy Five percent of Canadians play games.
- Forty percent of those are women.
- Average Canadian gamer is forty years old.
- 800 new jobs in Ontario over next ten years, according to the premiere, good jobs.
- The government is giving them over 235 million dollars in aid to build the studio.

All we need is another greedy Starz, or Nelvana in town only concerned with the bottom line and not helping an industry thrive.
