Nintendo is releasing a new color for the Nintendo Wii in Japan on August 1st, the Black Edition (or "Color kuro"). Nintendo Japan has a page on its website showing the Black Edition system here. You can see more pictures of the black colored Wii and accessories below.

The Nintendo Wii Black Edition and accessories include:
Nintendo Wii system - Black
Wii Remote - Black
Wii Nunchuk - Black
Wii Classic Controller Pro - Black

There's also a Wii Monster Hunter 3 Edition bundle coming out in Japan which includes the Black Edition Wii. Pre-orders of the Black Edition Wii system are also available from Play-Asia (here). The bad news is all this is planned (and compatible) for Japan only, at least currently. Maybe Nintendo America will introduce this system if there is enough demand for it in North America. Guessing on their past system releases, you can probably bet we'll be getting some color variation of the Wii from Nintendo at some point. In the meantime, you may just have to add some color of your own using a system skin from somewhere like Exo-Flex.
