Do you love playing Guitar Hero: World Tour, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: Smash Hits, or have Guitar Hero 5 on pre-order? Well, good news to Drum players out there! Logitech has announced the premium Wireless Drum Controller for the PlayStation 3 and PS2.

"When you're ready to experience a new premium drum controller or expand your band, you'll want to rip on Logitech’s new drum controller," said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming. "With the Wireless Drum Controller, you can mark time, keep the backbeat, color up your riffs and crash down on the cymbal pads. Joining the Logitech® Wireless Guitar Controller, the new Wireless Drum Controller lets you rock out to your favorite songs on the PS3 system."

What looks very similar to the ION Drum Rocker for the Xbox 360, the Logitech Wireless Drum Controller allows you to fully adjust your set to your needs by rotating the drum heads, raising or lowering the cymbals, and even adjusting the spring on the drum pedal to make sure each hit feels like the real thing. Worried about battery life? Two AA batteries will give you about 50 hours of gameplay, so that means a longer and more enjoyable experience with your new set.

The Logitech Wireless Drum Controller will be available sometime this month and will cost $229.99 (available for pre-order here). The Drum Controller will also go on sale in Europe around mid-August. No price was given on the European package. An Xbox 360 Logitech Wireless Drum Controller is also listed on Amazon.com, although the press release doesn't mention it.
