Curious about what happened in-between Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2? Dark Horse comics will be answering your questions with an upcoming comic book series. Launching on January 6, 2010, Mass Effect: Redemption fills us in on the disappearance of Commander Shepard near the Terminus System.

For those who didn't read the novels (Mass Effect: Revelation and Mass Effect: Ascension), the Terminus System is outside Alliance space and basically lawless. The comic was scripted by John Jackson Miller, the writer behind Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic fame and drawn by Omar Francia, the current artist of Star Wars Legacy. I'm very excited for this four-part series because the quality of the story is unmatched in the realm of Sci-Fi novels.

For those of you at Comic-Con 2009 this year, you can check out the Dark Horse booth (#2615) on the 24th to get an exclusive Mass Effect card signed by Mac Walters of BioWare and Omar Francia. This will be available between 4:00-5:00 pm.

For more information on Redemption, check out the official Mass Effect Twitter account (www.twitter.com/masseffect2) or BioWare.com.
