Here's a game you probably haven't heard of in years: Golvellius: Valley of Doom. It's an action-RPG from back in the SEGA Master System's day. The game played much like Nintendo's Legend of Zelda. Today DotEmu announced they're bringing Golvellius: Valley of Doom to the iPhone an iPod touch, worldwide in August 2009.

"Golvellius is a wonderful addition to our license portfolio and we are pleased to bring Golvellius to the iPhone and iPod Touch for a great retrogaming experience," said Xavier Liard, co-founder and CEO of DotEmu.

"Originally published in 1987 by Compile Golvellius: Valley of Doom was the Sega Master System’s answer to The Legend of Zelda for being one of the best adventure games of the console. Back then, it was recognized for its magnificent graphics and its deep story. Most anticipated retro game of this summer; Golvellius on iPhone benefits from a great attention on the control schemes, the ability to play it on full screen and a smart saving functionality."

That's another great retro re-release you'll soon be able to play on the go on your iPhone and iPod touch! The price has not been announced.
