Konami has announced that for a limited time, you'll be able to save $5 off Metal Gear Solid Touch for the iPhone and iPod touch. The MGS game is currently available at $7.99, but later this week, from August 13th to August 15th, you'll be able to get it for $2.99 from the App Store (iTunes Store link here). "We wanted to give both old Metal Gear Solid fans and newcomers alike the ability to experience the game and explore the series in the most cost efficient manner," said Anthony Borquez, Vice President of Konami Mobile and Online. "In today's economy, gamers are looking for ways to stretch their entertainment dollars more than ever, and with a $2.99 Metal Gear Solid pricepoint on the iPhone and iPod touch platforms, their entertainment dollars can go a long way." If you were undecided at the $8 price, the $3 is definitely more welcoming. As Kojima Productions does with any platform, the graphic detail in Metal Gear Solid Touch pushes the visuals on the iPhone and iPod touch. It's essentially a shooting gallery kind of game which follows the storyline of Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PLAYSTATION 3. A demo is currently available here, if you want to try it out before you buy.
