A new Wii Collector's Edition game compilation arrives today for Metroid fans and newcomers. Nintendo and game developer Retro Studios release the Metroid Prime Trilogy today for the Wii. Motion controls on Metroid Prime 3: Corruption really shined and showed how first-person shooters on the Wii could deliver an immersive gameplay experience. Now the original Metroid Prime and second Metroid Prime 2 Echoes GameCube games are available for the Wii with motion controls, widescreen support and some enhanced graphics. It's a great value that gives you all three games in one nicely designed Collector's Edition package (with tin box and art book) for a $49.99 MSRP. This is the first Collector's Edition Wii game released by Nintendo, so you know you're in for a treat with Metroid Prime Trilogy. See images of the Metroid Prime Trilogy box here. Here are the details on what you'll find in Metroid Prime Trilogy, from Nintendo: Each copy of Metroid Prime: Trilogy comes in a Collector’s Edition metal case with a protective slipcover, and includes a special art booklet highlighting content from all three Metroid Prime games. Metroid Prime: Trilogy was developed by Retro Studios and Nintendo, the same developers that created the original games for the Nintendo GameCube and Wii systems." “Metroid Prime is a landmark series that remains one of the most innovative and influential examples of what first-person gaming has to offer,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “With Metroid Prime: Trilogy, we’ve created a special package for our dedicated fans that celebrates and reflects the passion that they feel for these games.” Visit the official website of Metroid Prime: Trilogy at www.Metroid.com.
