The new PlayStation 3 Slim was just released yesterday and someone has already disassembled it. It is actually quite easy, considering all you do is take out the hard drive and then unscrew the 11 Phillips screws that secure the top of the PlayStation 3 in place and you're half done!

The video below shows exactly how to completely disassemble the new PlayStation 3 120 GB system in a few steps (warning: voids your warranty). Start making your own custom paint job to the PlayStation 3's new shell! If you're worried about voiding your warranty, but are curious on what's inside, watch the video below, then visit ifixit.com for more details on the parts inside of the new PlayStation 3 120GB system.

If you're wondering whether the "PS3 Slim" supports swapping the hard drive, yes it does. No need to wait for the rumored PS3 250GB system when you can upgrade it now yourself. The hard drive swap won't void your warranty (as the full disassembly does). See the second video below on how you can swap the hard drive on the new PS3 Slim, from Engadget.

The PlayStation 3 120GB system is now available for $299.99.
