The Xbox 360 Elite and Pro price drop is now official. See the details here.

Rumors on an Xbox 360 price drop have been floating around the web for some time now due to leaked ad circulars from Target, Best Buy, and Walmart. A price cut appears to be coming very soon for both of the Xbox 360 Pro and Xbox 360 Elite bundles.

The Xbox 360 Elite is rumored to have a price cut of $100, bringing the price right down to $299.99. The Xbox 360 Pro console is being dropped down to $249.99, down $50. What could be the reason of the price cut? How about the release of the PlayStation 3 120 GB (aka PS3 Slim) retailing at $299.99, along with Sony's PS3 80GB (aka "Fat PS3") models dropping to $299.99?

Along with these leaks is the mention of a whole new Xbox 360 Elite Halo 3 bundle, available exclusively at Canadian retailers. It was also temporarily listed at Canadian retailer The Source. The new bundle retails for $329.99 and includes the following:

- Xbox 360 Elite Console
- Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter
- 1 Black Wireless Controller
- 120 GB Memory Storage
- Xbox LIVE Wired Headset
- Network Ethernet Cable
- 30 day Free Trial of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership
- Xbox LIVE Silver Membership
- Halo 3

This Halo 3 Xbox 360 Elite bundle will be available this Friday, August 28th, exclusively at canadian retailers.
