EA Los Angeles has announced the name for its upcoming sequel in the Command & Conquer universe.  The fourth game will close the “Tiberium” storyline, so it is aptly named Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.  More than 15,000 fans of the Command & Conquer series submitted their ideas to www.commandandconquer.com and Tiberian Twilight was the winner.

“Our sophisticated fans are a tremendous community with a great love for the series. We really wanted to involve them in Command & Conquer 4 - what better way than to have them create the title?” said Mike Glosecki, Lead Producer on Command & Conquer 4 at EA Los Angeles. “We were blown away by all the creative names they came up with but the most popular selection, Tiberian Twilight, seemed the best fit, embodying that the saga is coming to a powerful and epic conclusion.”

The game is estimated for a 2010 release date and will be quite a challenger for Starcraft 2, also to be releasing in 2010. The only thing that matters, really, is that fans of real-time strategy games will be filled with glee due to the overwhelming amount of content coming out in 2010. Unfortunately, it is exclusive to the PC right now, but hopefully EA will bring this game over to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
