Watch out on September 30th for a Xbox LIVE Arcade remake of the TurboGrafx-16 classic, Military Madness. The turn-based game, Military Madness: Nectaris is being published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American branch of HUDSON SOFT. Military Madness: Nectaris will feature strategic gameplay, along with 3D graphics, four player online team/vs. multiplayer, an all-new customizable commander unit, detailed stat-tracking leaderboards, and more. See a trailer for Military Madness: Nectaris below. The online mode, which features up to four players, will include a specific Commander Unit similar to the Commanders in Advance Wars 2, leveling up specific abilities to help battlefield operations. "We think a new generation of console players will enjoy the battle-hardened strategy in this game." said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Digital Download at Hudson Entertainment. The original TurboGrafx-16 game won awards for "Best Military Strategy Game" and "Best War Game" back in 1989, and this game aims to continue the legacy of its predecessor. In a sense, it's the ancient Kung Fu master coming to challenge all his students again, in this case the students being games influenced by Military Madness. Military Madness: Nectaris will also be headed to the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network and the Wii's WiiWare. Release dates for those platforms have not been announced.
