The wait is over. Guitar Hero 5 is now available at your nearest retailer and it's ready to rock you out with its amazing 85 on-disc track list. With over 150 downloadable tracks available, over 300,000 (and counting) custom made tracks on GHTunes, and a few bonus features to throw in, the Guitar Hero 5 excitement will last.

"Guitar Hero 5 is the best Guitar Hero game yet and an incredible value for consumers by providing hours of entertainment as they play along to the music they love and discover new artists and tracks," said Dan Rosensweig, president and chief executive officer of Guitar Hero. "The game offers consumers access to an extensive library of music, including 85 songs on-disc, more than 150 songs available via DLC and the ability to import music from previous Guitar Hero."

Ever have that problem where you argue over who plays guitar when you have friends over? Well, luckily for us, Activision has solved this problem with the new "Party Play" mode. Which makes it so you can use any combination of instruments whether it is two drums sets and two guitars or four drum sets, the option is entirely up to you!

The Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) has given Guitar Hero 5 a rating of 95/100 saying, "Party Play mode instantly reinvigorates the social fun of music games… It is the new standard for social rocking." The magazine goes on to say, "This is musical fun done right… This is the Guitar Hero to own."

For the first time in any music game, you can now import your Xbox 360 Avatar into the game and play with your Avatar (with an Achievement unlocked right there). So, dress up your Avatar and import it into Guitar Hero 5 to rock out with true personality. Also, for the first time in music games, the Nintendo Wii and DS platforms can have some fun together as you can take up to two players on the Nintendo DS and duke it out with 2 players on the Wii. Nintendo DS players can also control the lights, pyrotechnics and other visuals of the Wii game while Wii rockers play their favorite tunes with Mii Freestyle.

Remember, if you purchase Guitar Hero 5 throughout the month of September, you will be eligible to receive the upcoming release of Guitar Hero: Van Halen as well! It's like buying two great games for the price of one!
