Hudson Entertainment, have announced that a new Bomberman game will be available exclusively to the Xbox LIVE Arcade called Bomberman Live: Battlefest.

“It’s Bomberman time again, and we’re thrilled to give fans another installment with much-demanded new features,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Digital Download at Hudson Entertainment. “Bomberman is one of the most beloved figures in gaming and it’s a blast to continue the legacy of this fun and frenetic classic with Bomberman Live: Battlefest.”

Bomberman Live: Battlefest is a sequel from the previous game titled Bomberman Live. This time around you have the same great 8-player bomb blasting experience with new power-ups, new arenas, new modes, addition of team play, new unlockables (character costumes), and now the ability to play as your avatar character.

New arenas include a new adventure themed arena along with a shape-shifting Multimaze, and a Pirate Ship, which sounds very unstable due to the waves hitting the ship as you play. Three out of the five new power-ups include a Cluster Bomb, Laser Bomb, and Rocket Bomb. Finally, four new modes include VIP, Capture the Flag, Capture the Crown, and Bankroll.

Bomberman Live: Battlefest will be available on the Xbox LIVE Arcade this Winter and will most likely cost 800 Microsoft Points to purchase (price not official).
