A minor system update is now available for the PlayStation 3. It's not a required update, so you'll have to manually go to your PS3's menu in [Settings] > [System Update] to get Firmware 3.01. The PlayStation Blog has a brief post on it, saying "This is an optional update that improves system stability during use of some PlayStation 3 format software." Specifically, it's an update that addresses the freezing issues of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune that were reported following the 3.0 System Update. You can now play it safely if you were having problems with the game.
