Castlevania fans have an upcoming WiiWare game to look forward to, Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth. Konami has yet to announce it, but it follows the line of "ReBirth" games being released on WiiWare. Contra ReBirth was recently released, as well as Gradius ReBirth for 1000 Wii Points each ($10). Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth is likely to be 1000 Wii Points as well. Nintendo today announced upcoming WiiWare games, which listed Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth for a Q3 release. That could mean sometime this month (September 2009). Word of the Castlevania WiiWare adventure first came thanks to an ESRB listing. From the sounds of it, it is a throwback to a 2D Castlevania game. The listing read as follows: "Platform: Wii Rating summary: This is a side-scrolling action game in which players battle against monsters in Dracula's castle. Players use a chained whip to fight their way through halls and dungeons filled with zombies, skeletons, flying eyeballs, and bats. The enemy creatures frequently shoot projectiles and attack players in hand-to-hand combat. If players sustain too much damage, they keel over and emit a burst of red blood. Some rooms in the castle also have spikes or spears stained with red, blood-like splotches." Watch for more details soon, but if Nintendo's Q3 release estimate is correct, Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth could be coming as soon as September 21st or September 28th!
