Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced that Batman: Arkham Asylum has been a top selling game this summer, shipping 2.5 million units. The original Batman: Arkham Asylum game has been well received by critics and this proves consumers are enjoying the game as well. Batman: Arkham Asylum was also given the Guinness World Record for the "Most Critically Acclaimed Super Hero Game Ever." Until now, very few super hero games have been so well received in the video game world. Both super hero fans or just gamers looking for a fantastic experience shouldn't miss out on Batman: Arkham Asylum. Hopefully future super hero games will be given the effort that game developer Rocksteady Studios has put into their Batman: Arkham Asylum. “The tremendous critical and commercial success of Batman: Arkham Asylum sets a new benchmark for superhero games,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Rocksteady Studios created an excellent game and the sales numbers demonstrate how a powerful franchise fused with high-quality production resonates with consumers.” Last week, the Games For Windows version was released, as well as the free Insane Night Challenge Map downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Batman: Arkham Asylum is available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. See more on Batman: Arkham Asylum on batmanarkhamasylum.com.
