The PlayStation 3 will soon be getting its own immersive gaming experience with an all new "Motion Controller" (tentative name). This isn't the SIXAXIS, the former motion sensing controller from Sony which never succeeded in being adopted by game developers. This "Motion Controller" works with Sony's PlayStation Eye (required) to deliver augmented reality gaming. It is also capable of both voice and facial recognition, including full body tracking. Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced at TGS 2009 that it is scheduled for a Spring 2010 release window. The "Motion Controller" still needs to find it's formal name and price, yet to be determined by SCE. It features two motion sensors, three axes gyroscope, three axes accelerometer, rumble feedback, Bluetooth 2.0 and a Lithium-Ion rechargeable internal battery. One unique and distinct feature of Sony's "Motion Controller" is the color-changing sphere attached to it. The sphere can change colors or display different patterns.
