Heads up! Want to get an early peek and help test out the upcoming Star Wars MMORPG from BioWare and LucasArts? If you're interested in beta testing Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC), below are the details from LucasArts on how to sign up:

"First, make sure you are a registered member of the Star Wars: The Old Republic community. If you’re not already a member, click here to become one today! Be sure to check the box to indicate you are interested in becoming a tester. If you’re already a member, go to the Game Testing Portal to begin the sign up process."

LucasArts tells us there are limited spaces available right now and advises you to sign up early for "the best possible chance of getting selected."

Get started now in the Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC) beta test.

Here's a summary from LucasArts on the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic game:
"Star Wars: The Old Republic is a massively-multiplayer online game being developed by the storytelling experts at BioWare and LucasArts. In Star Wars: The Old Republic, players will explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between The Old Republic and The Sith Empire divides the galaxy. Players can choose to play as Jedi, Sith, or a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, defining their personal story and determining their path down the Light or Dark side of the Force. Along the way, players will befriend courageous companions who will fight at their side or possibly betray them, based on the players’ actions. Players can also choose to team up with friends to battle enemies and overcome incredible challenges in dynamic Star Wars combat."

It seems it's not easy to sign up but it is possible. This is what I did:
Sign in (if your registered, if not then sign up. You should really be signed up if your a fan !!);
Click `My Account` at the top of the screen next to your sign in name;
At the bottom after contact options will be an option to select if you want to be considered for testing. Select that;
Click `Save` at the bottom and then `Update` System Specification (on the same screen). It runs a Java program and sends off CPU, OS, etc info;
Then edit `Contact Info` (which is the option under System specs).
That's how I did it. 8) 8) 8)
It WORKS
