Whether you're fighting dragons or aliens, there is one thing that will come in handy: strong armor. Role-playing game fans planning on picking up both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins can look forward to the Blood Dragon Armor. The armor provides additional protection and features the artwork of the upcoming Dragon Age: Origins game. It also looks pretty cool, no matter what planet or era you're from. The Blood Dragon Armor can be used in both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. The screenshot above shows you what the Blood Dragon Armor will look like (sorry, laser gun pictured not included for Dragon Age!). It was previously announced as being part of the Dragon Age: Origins Collector's Edition, but it looks like BioWare and EA have extended it to all editions of the game. This is according to the information at the end of the recent Mass Effect 2 Subject Zero trailer: "Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins in-game item available with the purchase of Dragon Age: Origins. Coming November 3rd, 2009. Players who purchase a new copy of Dragon Age: Origins will receive a code to download the Blood Dragon Armor, an exclusive set of themed armor that will give the player additional protection in combat. This armor will be available for use in both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2." You'll first get to wear it in Dragon Age: Origins, since it's out before Mass Effect 2 (estimated for 2010 release). Keep in mind, this is for the Xbox 360 and PC edition of Dragon Age: Origins, since Mass Effect 2 hasn't been announced for the PlayStation 3. Pre-order Dragon Age: Origins here (for the Xbox 360 and PC) and Mass Effect 2 here (for the Xbox 360 and PC).
