Escapist Games, known for their popular PSP, PC and iPhone game Platypus, are finishing up an Xbox LIVE Arcade version of it soon. Platypus is a claymation side-scrolling shooter entirely made out of clay, literally. Each ship and bullet has been lovingly handcrafted from clay, like the Wallace and Gromit series, and photographed to create a charming and visually unique game. This new version of Platypus features high-definition graphics and audio. The overhaul really expands the presentation of the game. Comprising of 4 levels, each split into 5 areas, there’s plenty of plasticine enemies to shoot down, power-ups to grab and end level bosses to squish. Platypus will see an imminent release on the Indie Games channel of Xbox LIVE, allowing cooperative play the way "it was meant to be" according to Escapist Games founder and director, Chris Walley. Platypus is expected to hit the Xbox LIVE Indie games store within the next few weeks. For more information visit the official Platypus website at www.platypusthegame.com.
