The series has generated over 2.7 billion dollars in sales since 1994 and that number will continue to grow this year with the release of Need for Speed SHIFT and the upcoming Need for Speed NITRO for the Wii and DS. Frank Gibeau, the President of EA Games added “Few videogame franchises ever reach the 100M units mark, so this is a huge honor.
