Electronic Arts and BioWare have announced that Dragon Age: Origins has gone Gold! That means it's out for production and set for a November 3rd release on the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3. Yes, that's right, the PlayStation 3 version will be released on the same date as the Xbox 360 and PC. At least in North America. Originally Dragon Age: Origins was going to be released on November 17th on the PlayStation 3, but BioWare was able to get the PS3 version up to speed to be out at the same time as the Xbox 360 and PC releases. “We’re excited to confirm that all three versions of Dragon Age: Origins will be available to fans on November 3 in North America,” said Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager, RPG/MMO Group of EA, and Co-Founder, BioWare. “The Dragon Age: Origins development team was able to polish the PlayStation 3 version to our high standard of quality and we are ready to deliver the richest and deepest role-playing fantasy experience across all three platforms.” For Europe, Dragon Age: Origins will be out on November 6th for the Xbox 360 and PC. The European PlayStation 3 release will be out at a later date in the region, so unfortunately European PS3 gamers will still have to wait a few more weeks for their game.
Visit the official website of Dragon Age: Origins at dragonage.bioware.com. Dragon Age: Origins will be available on November 3rd for the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3. Check with your favorite game shop for some bonus items that you'll be able to use in the game, including the Blood Dragon Armor. If you're looking for the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins, it looks like the EA Store is one of the last places to have any left for pre-order, so go for it soon!
