How my Halo 3 gameplay improved with the FPS Freeks PDF Print E-mail

KontrolFreek's FPS Freek and SpeedFreeks are some fairly new controller enhancements for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. They're a low cost controller add-on that'll work with the standard thumbsticks on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers, designed to improve your gameplay. I've been curious to test them out for some time, so when I received my FPS Freeks in the mail, I immediately equipped them to my Xbox 360 controller and booted up Halo 3. The one problem I always had in Halo 3 was the ability to take a sniper shot while under fire. Will the FPS Freeks help me?

At first I was a little skeptical. Simply because they were just an attachment that went on top of the thumbsticks. When I put them on, I noticed it was going to take awhile to get used to because your thumbs are positioned at a higher level. In the beginning, it actually gave me a bit of discomfort. However, after playing only two games of free-for-all on Halo 3, I immediately noticed some of my gameplay improved from the simple FPS Freeks. Since receiving them, I have actually gone undefeated in Team Snipers and only lost one game in Free-For-All. The goal I wanted to achieve was to snipe better without using the scope, and I can confidently say that my aim has improved greatly in the weeks since I have used the FPS Freeks.

Both the FPS Freek and SpeedFreek are available from KontrolFreek.com for $9.99 each. Each package includes a pair of the controller add-on. See more on "the science" of the FPS Freek and SpeedFreek here to get a better understanding on how the technology helps.
