Hybride Studios, the team behind the visual effects for the movies 300 and Sin City, have released part one of their Assassin's Creed II miniseries. The miniseries, dubbed "Lineage," introduces the plot of a corrupt family trying to usurp the Medici dynasty in Italy. The quality and acting in the first installment is actually quite good. Of course, one couldn't expect less from a studio which delivered such great visual masterpieces in the movies. It is understandable that people would assume (due to horrible movie/game tie-ins over the years) that this would be utter garbage, but Ubisoft aims to bring quality across all platforms.

"Content is moving forward, in the future it will be king and the platforms almost become irrelevant to how you deliver that" said UK Marketing Director Murray Pannel to gamesindustry.biz.

Ubisoft is definitely on the right path with this mindset, and hopefully other companies in both movies and games will learn something of this; that quality matters.
