Nintendo Japan has just introduced another evolution of the Nintendo DS handheld, a new Nintendo DSi system called the Nintendo DSi LL. The notable difference is the 1" bigger screens, bumping up the two 3.25" screens of the DSi to two 4.2" screens on the DSi LL. The Nintendo DSi LL has been announced for a November 21, 2009 release in Japan at 20,000 yen (about $220).

You can see Nintendo Japan's official mini-site on the DSi LL here. Although it is all in Japanese, there are more images and comparison shots of the DSi LL versus the DSi and DS Lite. You can get a good sense of the dimensions, and a new larger sized stylus as well. The DSi LL will be available in Wine Red, Dark Brown and Natural White colors.

No announcement for other regions outside of Japan has been made by Nintendo just yet. With Nintendo's DS and DSi game hardware being the top selling video game hardware, it's ony a matter of when it arrives in North America.
