SEGA and Platinum Games have a nice behind-the-scenes video of Bayonetta for you to see in "Bayonetta Revelations: Chapter 1." See the origin of Bayonetta with an introduction from Hideki Kamiya, Bayonetta's director, and Yusuke Hashimoto, the game's producer. Bayonetta is based on Evil vs. Good, an interesting twist to the typical hero perspective we usually get in games. You play the role of the witch, Bayonetta, as you battle against angels. Take a few minutes, sit back, and watch the Bayonetta Developer Diary 1 after the age verification below.

Bayonetta is causing quite a stir, achieving a perfect 40/40 rating score from Japan's Famitsu and the Platinum Games team has even posted pictures via Twitter of the game selling out in stores in Japan. Watch for the demo of Bayonetta to hit the PlayStation Network soon (or get it now from the Japanese PSN)!

Details on Bayonetta from SEGA:
"Bayonetta is a cinematic, stylized action game from the famed creative mind of renowned game developer, Hideki Kamiya. The game’s protagonist is a graceful, gun-wielding witch with powers beyond the comprehension of mere mortals. Facing off against countless fantastic enemies in stylish yet action-packed combat, Bayonetta uses outlandish finishing moves to take the action genre to a new level of excellence.

After being entombed in a coffin sunk in the bottom of the lake, Bayonetta awakens from a 500 year slumber with no memory of anything but her witchcraft. What little memory she has points her towards Vigrid, a remote region in Europe. As players embark on this quest with Bayonetta, they will begin to unfold the mystery behind her past and her purpose in the game and why she fights against angels."

For more information on Bayonetta, visit the official website here. Bayonetta will be available in North America on January 5th and in Europe on January 8th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms from SEGA.
