More Than 1.5 Million Wii, DS and DSi systems sold in US during Thanksgiving week PDF Print E-mail

Nintendo is off to a hot holiday start. Today Nintendo revealed their Thanksgiving week sales, including Black Friday, for their Wii, DS and DSi systems. From November 22nd to November 28th (Saturday), Nintendo reports that more than 1.5 million units of their gaming hardware systems were sold in the US. Here is the breakdown of the estimates from Nintendo:

"More than 550,000 Wii home consoles sold, demonstrating that consumers nationwide have responded to the new suggested retail price of $199.99.

More than 1 million Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi portable systems sold. This number surpasses the all-time hand-held hardware sales record set by Game Boy Advance during Thanksgiving Week 2002."

The Wii system is available for $199.99, various DS Lite systems are available for $129.99 and various DSi systems are available for $169.99.
