MIDNIGHT MADNESS EVENT KICKS OFF “SUMMER OF LITE”
Hundreds of Consumers and Nintendo Characters Converge on the Nintendo World Store to be the First to Get Their Hands on the Hot New DS Lite

Saturday, June 10, 9:00 p.m. - Sunday, June 11, 2:00 a.m.

WHAT: Hundreds of hard-core fans and eager consumers will line up this Saturday, June 10, to be the first consumers in the United States to buy the highly anticipated new Nintendo DS Lite hand-held video game system when it becomes available at midnight.

Video game icon Mario will be at the event along with fans dressed as Nintendo characters. The event also will feature music from a local DJ and free pizza for people in line. The first 100 people to purchase a Nintendo DS Lite will receive a free DS Lite case and a free copy of Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day.

DS Lite is poised to be the cool new gaming system for the summer. DS Lite is less than two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS, more than 20 percent lighter and features a brighter screen. Priced as low as $129.99 at retailers throughout the United States, consumers will be rushing to retailers to get their hands on one. To date, nearly 17 million Nintendo DS systems have been sold worldwide.
