See this close-up look at the Wii hardware and accessories in this thread at Nintendo.com's forums. The sensor bar seems smaller than most anticipated. The battery compartment is shown, although it may work similar to the Xbox 360 controller, having the option to buy a rechargeable battery pack. The different controller configurations are viewable, which include: Nunchuk Style, Classic Style and Zapper Style. The button labeling on the Wii controller on 2 buttons is different than previous labeling, changing from "+" and "-" to a "back" arrow icon and a "pause" icon. The back of the Wii console shows a orange "sensor bar" port for the motion sensor attachment. The motion sensor also shows LED lights.

See the evolution of the Wii controller here at aussie-nintendo.com.
