Information on the Wii psychological/horror game "Sadness" has been slowly trickling out. Developer Nibris has confirmed a publisher, but has not released who it actually is. The only thing Nibris has confirmed is that Atlus and Majesco are NOT the publisher. In an article at IGN, Nibris stated that no new screenshots will be released, until it comes from the yet unknown publisher.
Other than publisher details, some information was shared with IGN. From IGN: "Sadness will not have any in-game menu system or HUD. Unlike pretty much every other game on the market, Nibris is attempting to amplify the horrific aspects of their game by making the world as realistic and immersive as possible." The Wii controller will also tap on the "completely intuitive behaviour of the player." "Every choice a player makes is essential - if you experience traumatic events in your life, they are with you all the time. This will be the same in Sadness. We want the player to feel that he is participating in events, not merely playing a game," says Piotr Bielatowicz, game designer. Sounds like this Wii game is going to jerk that gaming tear out of you. Sadness is not expected to be released on the Wii before Q4 2007.
