Amazon.com had it’s busiest holiday season yet, it announced yesterday in a press release. Video games definitely played their share in the holiday gift purchases. If you spotted a Wii in stock on Amazon.com, it probably wasn’t available too long. Amazon.com sold Nintendo Wii systems at approximately 17 per second, when it was in stock.
The Nintendo Wii made the Amazon Customers Vote selection from home game consoles, which sold for $79 to 1,000 lucky customers. Customers who voted were selected at random to take advantage of the special offer. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) was a top selling video game, along with Activision’s Call of Duty 4 (for PCs, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3).
