Atari has announced an early bird bonus for players who are ready for a long-term commitment to Star Trek Online. Star Trek Online is an upcoming PC MMORPG. As with most MMORPGs, a monthly subscription is required to play. Atari and game developer Cryptic Studios are offering up two deals, which will only be available before the game’s launch. Star Trek Online is regularly $14.99 per month, but these two deals could save you some considerable money if you are ready to embark on a long voyage in Star Trek Online.
Both of the deals are only available with a pre-order of Star Trek Online. The first deal offered is a Lifetime membership for $239.99. This includes free lifetime access to playing Star Trek Online, a playable Borg and 2 additional character slots. After February 1st 2010, the Lifetime membership fee goes up to $299.99. The second deal is a 12-month membership for $119.99. The 12-month membership also gets you two extra character slots and allows you to get a recurring yearly membership at the discount price.
The offers expires right on the launch date (February 2, 2010) of Star Trek Online. If you’ve played the beta and you’re ready for long term play, take advantage of the deal soon. There is still some time to get some hands-on with the beta if you pre-order Star Trek Online or the Star Trek Online Collector’s Edition. See more details on the open beta here at the official Star Trek Online website.
