BioWare today released new downloadable content for both of their epic franchises, Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. The content continues the lore of both franchises, thrusting them into the worlds of the games’ key supporting characters.
The Dragon Age: Origins DLC pack, “Witch Hunt,” features a story that reconnects players with one of the series’ original larger-than-life heroes, Morrigan. The Mass Effect 2 DLC pack, “Lair of the Shadow Broker,” centers on Liara, a popular character and squad mate from the original Mass Effect.
Witch Hunt allows players to see the aftermath of Morrigan’s path and what she has been experiencing since the defeat of the Archdemon in Dragon Age: Origins. Players will confront her about her mysterious disappearance by heading into the forest of Ferelden to tie up this last loose end once and for all. Witch Hunt is available for $6.99 on the PlayStation Network, 560 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 and 560 BioWare Points on the PC. For more information on Witch Hunt, visit dragonage.bioware.com.
In the new DLC for Mass Effect 2, Lair of the Shadow Broker, players will be joined by Liara T’soni, on her quest to recover a kidnap victim from the Shadow Broker who is often mentioned within the Mass Effect mythos but has yet to be seen. Lair of the Shadow Broker is available for 800 Microsoft Points ($10) on the Xbox 360 and 800 BioWare Points on the PC ($10).
