There hasn’t been many new game releases since the beginning of December 2009. Things tend to slow down in the way of new releases during the month of December, but there are a couple of games coming out just before Christmas next week. Mainly it’s Guitar Hero: Van Halen on all the home consoles and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for the Wii.
Konami Classics Volume 1 and 2 were released in the previous week for the Xbox 360. Each collection includes 3 games released on the Xbox LIVE Arcade. Volume 1 includes Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Frogger and Super Contra. Volume 2 includes Contra, Track & Field and Rush N’ Attack. The bundles don’t really save you money at $20, other than offering a disc-based hardcopy format. Another bundle was released in the previous week for PlayStation 3 gamers, the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and DualShock 3 Bundle. At $59.99, it’s a nice gift bundle for PS3 gamers and will save you around $15.
