Nintendo drops price on DSi and DSi XL, starting September 12, 2010

The Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL will be getting a $20 price drop on each system, starting September 12, 2010. Nintendo of America today announced the price drop on the camera equipped DSi family. The DSi will drop from the current $169.99 MSRP to $149.99 MSRP, while the DSi XL will drop from the current $189.99 MSRP to $169.99 MSRP. The DS Lite remains at the current $129.99 MSRP as the entry Nintendo DS system.

“We know shoppers want to get the maximum value out of every dollar they spend,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Our new Nintendo DSi prices make it easier than ever for consumers to access the tremendous variety of games, applications and social tools on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems.”
