The first reviews from God of War II are coming out and just as we are eager to hear what the word is, so is God of War II’s Game Director, Cory Barlog. You never know how good a game is until you yourself have time with it, so I always take ‘em with a grain of salt. God of War II has a lot of expectations to live up to after the blockbuster that God of War was.
The first two reviews come from 1up and IGN:
1up gave it a 9.5
IGN ranked it a 9.7
Cory was out checking reviews early this morning and here’s what he had to say about a post at the gaming forums at NeoGaf:
From NeoGaf: “A 9.7. Ouch! I guess Cory messed up.”
Cory Barlog: “Man…if 9.7 is messing up…then I am ok with messing up now and again. :)”
Yeah, sounds like you’re on to something good Cory. God of War fanboys, lay your arms down until you’ve had some time with the game and remember that even when games get a “perfect” 10, there is always someone to point out imperfections.
