Here’s a roundup of the announcements from the PlayStation Day held earlier today in London. The special event took place to announce developments on some of 2008′s anticipated games on the PLAYSTATION 3 and other PlayStation platforms. SCEE’s David Reeves said the PLAYSTATION 3 has taken the lead from Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in Europe, stating 5,000,000 PLAYSTATION 3 consoles sold in the region.
Some of the highlights regarding PLAYSTATION 3 releases:
- We’ll have to wait a bit longer for Killzone 2. Now estimated for February 2009 release.
- LittleBigPlanet is scheduled for an October 2008 release.
- PlayStation Home Open Beta estimated for end of 2008.
- MotorStorm Pacific Rift scheduled for autumn 2008 release.
- Play TV will be released in UK in September.
- BD-Live premieres in UK with Men In Black Blu-ray movie.
