At the launch of Sony’s PSP in Education drive, Sony Computer Entertainment UK’s managing director Ray Maguire stated that a “smaller, lighter” system will be introduced in the future. The PSone and PS2 have had their hardware reductions and slimmer designs several years after their original release. The Playstation Portable will follow in the tradition. No additional features were mentioned. The screen size would stay the same. No second analog stick? What about the rumored built in camera? Internal HD? No mention or confirmation on any of those as of yet. Rumors have been around for some time of a new or revised PSP (as reported in previous posts here and here).
