Is your Xbox 360 hard drive running low on space? Microsoft today announced the standalone availability of the Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive. The Xbox 360 250GB HDD has a $129.99 retail price. If you have any of the previous Xbox 360 hard drives (20GB, 60GB, 120GB), you can transfer your data to the larger capacity 250GB hard drive using the included data transfer kit. There are also some game demos, videos and Xbox LIVE Arcade demo games included on the Xbox 360 250GB HDD.

The largest capacity PlayStation 3 system is available starting today with the 250GB PlayStation 3. The new PS3 has the same “Slim” form factor as the recently released 120GB PS3. The 250GB PlayStation 3 is available for $349.99 from retailers such as Amazon.com. That’s only $50 more than the $299.99 120GB PS3, and more than double the capacity.
You can swap out the internal 2.5″ harddrives for both systems, but if you’re getting a new PlayStation 3, you should go for the 250GB, as you’ll find your harddrive filling fast with games and digital content. Look for the gray box for the 250GB PlayStation 3, available from retailers starting today.

The first 250GB Xbox 360 system will be coming from Microsoft, Activision and Infinity Ward with the 250GB Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 Limited Edition Bundle. This confirms the rumors of a 250GB Xbox 360 HDD. The Xbox 360 Modern Warfare Limited Edition bundle comes packed with loads of extras for an MSRP of $399.99.
