Today Capcom announced that Street Fighter IV will be hitting the mobile gaming platform. Not the PSP or the DS, but the iPhone and iPod touch. Capcom is bringing the fighting game, with virtual "Visual Pad," in March 2010. The Visual Pad can be customized for your fighting preference, including adjusting the transparency and screen position. Multiplayer will be supported via Bluetooth, so you can challenge your friends on the road. A new "Dojo" mode is included as well, for practicing your moves before battling it out with opponents.

"This is Street Fighter IV in all its glory… uncompromised and awesome," said Takeshi Tezuka, General Manager of Mobile Content Development, Capcom. “We’re particularly proud of the multiplayer feature as it remains true to the series arcade roots by allowing players to go head-to-head over Bluetooth in spectacular fashion.”

Watch for Street Fighter IV on the App Store in March 2010. Pricing has not been announced.

Square Enix has been pretty busy this past week showing what’s coming up, unveiling the Dragon Quest IV remake for the Nintendo DS, more details and a trailer for Infinite Undiscovery on the Xbox 360 and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon for the Wii.

Fans of the Final Fantasy series of games will want to check out another update. Square Enix has also updated the website for its upcoming Final Fantasy IV remake on the DS, previously known as Final Fantasy II back in the SNES days. That Final Fantasy is probably one of the only RPGs I’ve played through a couple of times. Looks like it’s going to be a third go around for me after checking out the upgraded 3D graphics and cutscenes just released on the website.

See the new trailer and some beautiful artwork on the website here. Read the original announcement of Final Fantasy IV for the DS here.
