Finally, fans of The Elder Scrolls, the answer is here and the anticipation begins. Bethesda Game Studios has announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the next game in the fantasy action-RPG saga.
A release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been set for 11/11/11. Watch the first teaser trailer below! More details will be coming soon. Take a trip back in time with Bethesda Softworks and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Bethesda Softworks is offering The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall as a free download for PC gamers. The re-release (or free-release) is in celebration of the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls game series. The action-RPG was released in North America in 1996, for the PC (MS-DOS). If you’ve played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the Xbox 360 or PLAYSTATION 3, check out how things were in the early days of the series. You’ll need a PC to run the demo and unless you have an old PC around, you’ll also have to get a DOS emulator.
Minimum system requirements:
486DX2/66 MHZ, DOS 6.0, 8MB RAM, 50MB HD Space, 256-color VGA graphics card, Mouse, Soundcard (Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster 16, AWE 32, Pro Audio Spectrum, Ensoniq Soundscape, Gravis Ultrasound).

Bethesda Softworks has announced record sales and shipments of Fallout 3
during last week’s launch.
From Bethesda Softworks: “Approximately 4.7 million units of Fallout 3 were shipped worldwide last week for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows representing retail sales in excess of $300 million.
Released on October 28 in North America at midnight store openings in over 2,000 retail outlets nationwide jammed with fans eager to get the game, Fallout 3 quickly became one of the industry’s top sellers around the world. For example, in the United Kingdom where it was not released until Friday, October 31 the rapid sales of Fallout 3 have led the game to be ranked number one among all video games, as well as being the number one game on each of its three platforms.”
