Tomb Raider Trilogy
Available for PlayStation 3
Game Publisher: Square Enix
Release Date: March 22, 2011
Review summary:
PlayStation 3 owners have missed out on most of the modern adventures of Lara Croft but with the release of Tomb Raider Trilogy, gamers can enjoy her recent games in beautiful high definition. The frustrating camera and simplistic combat don’t detract from the unique set pieces. While the Tomb Raider games are showing their age compared to newer action-adventure games, they are still completely enjoyable and deserve a spot in any gamers library with the Tomb Raider Trilogy.

Review Summary:
Kane and Lynch 2: Dogs Days is a gritty and violent game. The unique “guerrilla style” camera really adds flavor to a middle of the road third-person shooter. With a 6 to 8 hour campaign and only a few new multiplayer modes, the game falls a bit short on content and story. Kane and Lynch 2 is solid, but the flawed AI takes you out of the experience at many points. The small amounts of set pieces are amazing, however they are few and far between. Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is better than the original game and the camera treatment is great, but overall the game is slightly above average at best.

A re-release of Batman: Arkham Asylum is now available in Europe and other PAL regions. The Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition is now available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (as well as PC). Besides packing in the downloadable Challenge Maps, there’s a new 3D gameplay feature for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Square Enix and Eidos explain it, from the announcement:
"Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition adds a new dimension to the multi award-winning gameplay experience, with support for TriOviz 3D on both the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. TriOviz 3D is a patented 3D process which adds depth to the game, visible to players wearing the included 3D glasses. By leveraging the depth-of-field while maintaining the original gameplay and colour integrity, TriOviz 3D creates a far more immersive gaming experience, allowing console players to dive deeper into the gothic world of Arkham Asylum."
A North America release date has not been announced, but Amazon.com currently lists a May 11, 2010 release for the Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition. Would you replay the game to experience it in 3D (or on another platform)?
