Japanese gamers are getting an early playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII through two special releases of the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Blu-ray movie packages. The Final Fantasy XIII demo is available in Japan in the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete [Cloud Black Edition] PLAYSTATION 3 bundle or in the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete First Print Version. The playable demo may be far from reach of North American gamers (not to mention it is in Japanese), but the good news is that an entire playthrough of the demo has already been captured and posted on YouTube. Final Fantasy 13 is coming to the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360. Japan will be getting it in Winter 2009 (as shown at the end of the last video below), with a US release to follow in 2010. The US release of the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Blu-ray will be available on June 2, 2009. It’s available for pre-order for $26.99 here
