E3 2011Tecmo Koei certainly has had good output with their entries in the Ninja Gaiden series and others. At this year’s E3 the company isn’t exactly showing off a mudslide of games, but that doesn’t mean the company should be ignored. Here is what will be shown at E3 2011 by the company, followed by a bit of information straight from Tecmo Koei.

Ninja Gaiden 3 promises a heightened feeling and experience during close combat fighting, and will also feature online multiplayer, both co-op and competitive, that will add a completely new experience to the Ninja Gaiden series. Pick up the Dragon Sword once more, sharpen its blade and hone your skills. An adventure unlike any other awaits players…”

Players will be able to generate monsters in a number of ways on their own or with their friends. Details on TRINITY: Souls of Zill O’ll have been announced by KOEI. It’s an action-RPG headed to the PLAYSTATION 3 system, from developer Omega Force. TRINITY: Souls of Zill O’ll is currently estimated for a Spring 2010 release on the PS3 system. This is the first time the Zill O’ll game series is released in North America, which was previously a Japan only release.

See a teaser trailer below.

Details on TRINITY: Souls of Zill O’ll from KOEI:

"A king will die at the hands of his own offspring, reads the
prophecy of Chancellor Zofor. King Balor fears this most of all…
For years, Omega Force has transcended the action genre to
create one of video gaming’s most legendary franchises. Now
they unleash their imaginations on the realm of fantasy. Set
within the same universe as KOEI’s critically‐acclaimed RPG
series, Zill O’ll, TRINITY: Souls of Zill O’ll™ is an Action RPG that
gives players control of a band of three characters, as their
quests take them to vast fields, mysterious cities and dark
chambers.”

Game features:
- Brought together by fate, the three adventurers in your
party must work together to explore Biascion’s fields,
dungeons and towns, collect items, survive encounters with
mythological beasts and ultimately defeat the evil King
Balor.

– An innovative team system lets you alternate between each
of the three characters; a warrior, a wizard and an assassin.
Magic abilities and physical offensives can be used together
to unleash combo attacks.
• A completely interactive environment. Uncover new paths
by destroying objects, set areas aflame or freeze them with
spell casting.

- The game’s story, told in a non‐linear format, takes place
prior to the original “Zill O’ll” game released only in Japan.

- Throughout the game, side quests add more adventures and
depth to an already rich experience.

Dynasty Warriors fans looking to take on more hordes of enemies, while suited to your own style, prepare for Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires. Omega Force and KOEI have released a new trailer and announced details of the upcoming Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires game.

See the trailer below!

From KOEI:

“As a lord, gamers must think strategically. By deciding when to attack, when to resist invasion, or when to initiate policies, a lord can expand their power and influence. An easy-to-learn “card collecting” system lets players enact policies that will increase their empire’s strength, improve the abilities of their forces, and more. The cards that a player receives will depend on the attributes of the officers and their army.

Players can also pledge their allegiance to a kingdom to become an officer. As an officer, players can suggest policies in the kingdom’s war council, complete missions for rewards, or even turn against their ruler should relations sour.

Most eagerly awaited by fans is a game mode that allows players to create their own warrior. DYNASTY WARRIORS 6: Empires features an extensive character editing system with options to customize a warrior’s gender, build, skin tone, facial features, voice, clothing, weapon and more.”

Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires will be available for the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 on June 23, 2009 for $39.99 (MSRP), $20 less than the usual $59.99 tag on a new PS3 or Xbox 360 game! Visit www.koei.com for more details on the game.
